Mirai Review – A VFX WONDER AND A VISUAL CELEBRATION OF DHARMA

Mirai is not just a film — it’s a grand visual celebration of Hindu Dharma, Indian culture, and the timeless wisdom of the Vedas. Blending devotion, fantasy, and adventure, director Karthik Gattamneni delivers a spectacle that stirs pride while entertaining with jaw-dropping visual storytelling.

The film’s plot draws from a fascinating mythological premise — Emperor Ashoka had once entrusted nine sacred scriptures to nine warriors to ensure no demon could misuse them to attain godhood. In the modern era, a powerful demon rises to seize these scriptures, and from this divine crisis emerges a super-yodha, guided by the mystical Mirai Stick, to restore cosmic balance.

From its very first frame, Mirai grips the audience with a visually immersive and emotionally charged narrative. The pacing, the grandeur, and the energy never let up. The VFX and CGI are nothing short of revolutionary for an Indian film made on a ₹50 crore budget — it looks and feels like a ₹500 crore epic. The interval block, featuring the breathtaking Eagle vs. Teja sequence, stands out as one of the most visually stunning moments in Indian cinema this year. It’s the kind of sequence that makes you sit back in awe and applaud.

The climax is another cinematic triumph — spine-chilling, devotional, and magnificently executed. The portrayal of divine powers on screen, accompanied by chants of “Jai Shri Ram”, ensures that audiences will erupt in emotion and applause. Truly, Telugu cinema once again proves it can represent Indian mythology with unmatched reverence and scale.

#TejaSajja delivers his career-best performance. His transformation from a common man to a divine warrior is both emotionally and physically commanding. #ManchuManoj as the antagonist is terrific — powerful, layered, and menacing, making the hero’s journey all the more impactful. #ShriyaSaran lends grace and substance, while the supporting cast performs admirably.

Director Karthik Gattamneni deserves immense credit for creating such a technically brilliant and spiritually resonant film within a controlled budget. His vision, visual language, and ability to elevate emotion through scale make Mirai a true cinematic achievement.

The background score and cinematography heighten the grandeur, though the film could’ve been slightly tighter — a few scenes drag, and the humor doesn’t always land. But these are minor blemishes in an otherwise spectacular experience.

Overall, #Mirai is a visually dazzling, spiritually uplifting, and emotionally powerful spectacle. It’s a film that makes you proud of Indian storytelling and sets new benchmarks for VFX-driven cinema.

Verdict: A must-watch cinematic wonder. JAI SHRI RAM!
