Dhurandhar has performed well at the box office. The film’s overall business in its first six days has reached ₹157 crore, which is a solid total. However, these are merely numbers, not pure collections, because a significant portion involves self-buying, a practice that has now become almost legitimized in the Indian film industry. This year, similar discrepancies were observed with Sky Force and Bhool Chook Maaf, where there was a huge difference between the organic collections and the official numbers.
Aanand L Rai’s ‘Tere Ishk Mein’, backed by producer Bhushan Kumar and starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon, has made a spectacular entry at the box office in Hindi. With ticket sales showcasing crazy growth and audience pull ever since the advance booking opened, the film went on to deliver a thunderous Day 1, collecting Rs 15.06 crore NBOC on its opening day.
De De Pyaar De 2 showed a steady hold on Monday, collecting ₹5 Cr nett, a fair result for a rom-com in the current post-pandemic era. With this, the film’s 5-day total stands at approximately ₹43.25 Cr nett, a figure that is almost in the same range as the first instalment released six years ago.
